"At 159 lbs, I knew I had to do something (I'm 5' 4”) but I also knew I needed help and a jumpstart to get me going. Next thing you know, a trial package of COCOAGENX™ arrived in the mail. I had signed up to be in a test group months before and forgot about it. When, all of a sudden it just showed up, I knew that was a good sign, so I tried it. The first day I noticed was more energy and I definitely was not as hungry. Usually by noon I'm famished, but that day I was not hungry until 2pm. It took about 5 days before I noticed my clothes fitting more loosely and then by the 10th day, I can honestly say I was down a dress size. And, as a side benefit, I'm far less stressed and more focused than ever. Thank you CocoaGenx!"

Cha’ de Bugre: Rich in Potassium, Allantoin, Allantoic Acid, Plant Sterols and Natural Caffeine (Increased energy without the negative side effects of regular caffeine) Cha De Bugre is a small tree that grows 8-12 meters in height. The Cha De Bugre tree is indigenous to Brazil and can be found growing predominantly in the Brazilian States of Minas Gerais, Bahia, Acre and Goias. Cha De Bugre is called Café Do Mato (coffee of the woods) because it produces a red fruit resembling a coffee bean that is roasted and used as a stimulant.

Dr. C.L. Cruz wrote a book for the Brazilian market called the Dictionary of the Plants Used In Brazil. Dr. Cruz recommended Cha De Bugre as an excellent diuretic and weight loss aid as well as a good general heart tonic that helps stimulate circulation.

Raw Cocoa: Researches have found that Chocolate is healthy if it is dark with no added dairy products/milk or refined sugar. Even better is the raw cacao bean powder (fermented), called for centuries “the food of the gods" which possess all the magical properties of chocolate without any adulteration or processing! Here are just a few of its benefits:

* Antioxidants
According to research cited in The New York Times, fresh cacao beans are super-rich in antioxidant flavonols. Cacao beans contain 10% antioxidant concentration level, making it one of the richest sources of antioxidants of any food. Research has demonstrated that the antioxidants in cacao are highly stable and easily available to human metabolism. Cornell University food scientists found that cocoa powder has nearly twice the antioxidants of red wine and up to three times what is found in green tea.

* Anandamide (The Bliss Chemical )
A neurotransmitter called anandamide (n-arachidonoylethanolamine), has been isolated in cacao in quantities significant enough to affect the brain. Anandamide is a cannabinoid naturally found in the human brain. Anandamide is a lipid (fat) known as "the bliss chemical" because it is released while we are feeling great.

* Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAO Inhibitors)

These rare MAO inhibitors actually produce favorable results when consumed by allowing more serotonin and other neurotransmitters such as anandamide, dopamine, etc. to circulate in the brain. According to Dr. Gabriel Cousens, MAO inhibitors facilitate youthening and rejuvenation.
* MAO inhibitors make one younger as they allow more neurotransmitters to remain in the bloodstream. A primary phenomenon that separates children from adults is the level of neurotransmitters in the blood and bodies of children. Generally, as one remains on the planet longer and longer, the level of neurotransmitters decreases. This creates physical rigidity, less creativity, less joy, and more aging! Cacao, being an MAO inhibitor, keeps plenty of neurotransmitters in circulation and thus stops this phenomenon from ever occurring.

* Aphrodisia & Magnesium
Chocolate truly is food for the heart - it is the heart's "blood," due to its magnesium, antioxidants, love chemicals and esoteric properties. Chocolate, as we know it, is known for its sensual love vibration. Chocolate is the symbol of sensuality, pleasure, and sexuality

* Nature's Prozac (Anti-Depressant Properties of Cacao) As we have noted, cacao is one of nature's richest sources of magnesium, which is a heart as well as brain mineral. Cacao is also a great source of serotonin, dopamine, and phenylethylamine, three well-studied neurotransmitters, which help alleviate depression and are associated with feelings of wellbeing. Cacao contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO Inhibitors) that improve our mood because they allow serotonin and dopamine to remain in the bloodstream longer without being broken down. Cacao contains anandamide, which deliver blissful feelings. Cacao also contains B vitamins, which are associated with brain health. All this makes cacao a natural prozac!

* Phenylethylamine (PEA)
PEA is a chemical in cacao that increases the activity of neurotransmitters (brain chemicals) in parts of the brain that control our ability to pay attention and stay alert. Elevated PEA levels occur when we are captivated by a good book, movie, or project; this happens specifically during those moments when we are so focused that we lose track of time, food, and the outside world. PEA is noticeably abundant in the brains of happy people. Chocolate has been found to contain up to 2.2% phenylethylamine (PEA).

* Theobromine
Theobromine makes up between 1-2% of the cacao bean. Theobromine stimulates the central nervous system, relaxes smooth muscles, and dilates blood vessels. Theobromine has about 1/4 of the stimulating power of its sister molecule caffeine. It is also a mild diuretic (increases urination) and has been used as a medical drug in cases where a heart attack had resulted in an accumulation of body fluid. And, Theobromine is a cardiac stimulant. This is a reason why it has been used to treat high blood pressure.

* SBO (Soil Based Organisms) Blend: A 25 year-old Probiotic blend that has been successful marketing in 33 countries worldwide.

* Helps enhance immune function
* Helps reduce excess weight associated with fluid retention; bloating and swelling (known also as “false fat”) caused by chronic inflammation, digestive challenges and allergies. This is the first known weight management formula to be introduced into the marketplace that contains SBO’s.
* Helps improve digestion while re-populating the friendly floral (bacteria) along the intestinal walls.

* DMAE (Dimethylaminoethenol): DMAE is a naturally occurring nutrient found in high concentrations in fish, salmon and sardines in particular. Our brains maintain a small amount of it, which plays several crucial functions. Most fundamentally, this nutrient protects the integrity of cell membranes. The deterioration of cell membranes can lead to premature aging . (Author: N. Perricone, MD/The Perricone Promise)

DMAE can elevate one’s mood, counter depression, and boost cognitive functions (such as memory and concentration), and even increase intelligence. These benefits stem from this nutrient’s role in manufacturing acetylcholine, which is a substance responsible for healthy mental functioning.

Physician’s monitoring patients on DMAE have reported that such people are more congenial, upbeat, and exhibit greater mental acuity. In addition, people taking it often report sleeping better and having more energy while awake.

* Eases daily stress by helping to control mood swings
* Increase life span. Some animal studies show a lengthier than usual life span, however, results are inconclusive at this time since not all animals and birds show the same results.
* Reduce and/or prevent DNA damage.
* Enhance brain activity. Because of more readily moving through the brain-blood barrier before conversion into choline, it is believed that DMAE is more effective in aiding brain function such as making neurotransmitters.
* Enhance ability to fight environmental stressors. As an antioxidant, DMAE can deactivate free radicals (oxidative stress) created by such environmental polluters as automobile exhaust, cigarette smoke, radiation, stress, physical exercise, and other chemicals.
* Improve the body's ability to deal with dietary stressors. Rancid fats, hydrogenated fats, and fats that have been heated to high temperatures as in cooking are known to create dietary stress due to the oxidative stress they place on the human system. DMAE eliminates the free radicals resulting from these fats.
* Prevent and/or treat cardiovascular problems. Scientific studies have documented DMAE's ability to deal with degenerative diseases such as cardiovascular problems.
* Increase ability of the immune system.
* Increase in energy
* Improved metabolism
* Easier weight loss
* Regulated bowel movements
* Regulated libido

* Hoodia Gordonii —“Kalahari Bushmen Used Plant for Centuries to Curb Appetite and Eliminate Hunger”~ by Mary Shomon

Hoodia gordonii is a succulent plant that grows in the high deserts of the Kalahari Desert region of South Africa. The San people of the Kalahari - a tribe of hunter-gatherers with a 27,000-year-old culture and history in using native plants for medicinal purposes to help ward off pain, hunger and thirst when the Bushmen made long trips in the desert.

Hoodia gordonii is entirely natural and has no stimulant properties. There are a number of species of hoodia, but the Gordonii variation is the only one that contains the all-natural appetite suppressant, which is believed to reduce the appetite by hundreds of calories per day.

Dr. Richard Dixey, in a BBC report explained how Phytopharm (P57) works:

“There is a part of your brain called the hypothalamus. Within that mid-brain there are nerve cells that sense glucose sugar. When you eat, blood sugar goes up because of the food, these cells start firing and now you are full. What the Hoodia seems to contain is a molecule that is about 10,000 times as active as glucose. It goes to the mid-brain and actually makes those nerve cells fire as if you were full. But you have not eaten. Nor do you want to.”

Some of the benefits reports are:

* Suppressed appetite within 20 to 30 minutes after ingestion. Please note, it may take 10 days to two weeks on a product for your body responds to these effects
* A reduced interest in food
* Feeling of being full for longer periods throughout the day.
* A feeling of being full more quickly than before

* Ginger: is an exotic, perennial plant with highly aromatic flowers that grows to a height of three feet. It originated in tropical Asia, where its tuberous rootstock was not only used as a spice for culinary purposes, but has also continued to play an important role in Asian medicine for 2,500 years. The Chinese considered it a "warming" herb. Ginger is rich in volatile oils, beta-carotene, essential fatty acids, amino acids, resins, potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, B-vitamins, vitamins A and C and gingerols (including shogaols, a breakdown product of gingerols and are produced only upon drying and twice as effective and pungent as gingerols).

Some of the documented benefits of Ginger are:

* Helps to settle a queasy stomach.
* Increases the activity of the digestive tract and is particularly helpful in digesting rich, fatty foods and cleansing the body of toxins through the skin by stimulating and increasing perspiration.
* Ginger is slightly diuretic and further cleanses the body by strengthening kidney function and increasing kidney filtration.
* Known as a natural blood thinner and may help to prevent strokes, heart attacks, and hardening of the arteries. The chemical gingerol appears to inhibit an enzyme that causes cells to clot and thereby reduces platelet aggregation and blood "clumping."
* Ginger helps to retard the production of cholesterol by the liver and has been known to reverse the increase in triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, thus helping to combat heart attack.

* Cayenne: Has traditionally been used as medicine for centuries. It has shown reductions in appetite in a double-blind trial, studying the effects on appetite and energy intake. It has also been shown to increase metabolism of dietary fats. These trials suggest that Cayenne may help in the treatment of obesity. Cayenne is:

* Believed to trigger the release of endorphins by the brain, chemicals that relieve pain that may be helpful in treating cluster headaches.
* Considered a powerful stimulant that boosts metabolism, helps to enhance athletic performance and is valuable in treating prostration.
* Known to speed up the metabolism of fat and may reduce weight gain due to a high fat diet by increasing the liver enzymes accountable for fat metabolism, and decrease fat deposits in the liver caused by high fat diet.
* Cayenne is called a "carrier" or "catalyst" herb that increases the efficacy of almost every other herb or herbal combination.

* Schizandra: (Schizandra chinensis ) is a creeping vine with small red berries that is native to Northern China. In ancient China, Schizandra was used as a staple food for hunting and gathering tribes. As a traditional medicinal herb, Schizandra, called Wu-wei-tzu in China, has been used as an astringent for a treatment for dry cough, asthma, night sweats, nocturnal seminal emissions and chronic diarrhea. It is also used traditionally as a tonic for the treatment of chronic fatigue

As a result of extensive research, Schizandra is now a recognized "adaptogen," capable of increasing the body's resistance to disease, stress, and other debilitating processes. Known active constituents include sesquicarene, lignans (schizandrin, gomisin), schizoandrol, citral, phytosterols (stigmasterol, beta-sitosterol), and Vitamins C and E.

Some of the reported benefits of Schizandra are :

* Helps to "stimulate immune defenses , balance body function, normalize body systems and boost recovery after surgery.
* Helps counteract the effects of sugar, optimize energy in times of stress, increase stamina, normalize blood sugar and blood pressure, reduce high cholesterol, shield against infection,
* Helps improve the health of the adrenals, energize RNA-DNA molecules to rebuild cells and produces energy comparable to that of a young athlete.

* Eleuthero Root: is a member of the ginseng family, however it is not considered a 'true ginseng' because it is of a different genus than other popular ginsengs. The root is not harvested until it is two or more years old; the older the root, the higher its value. Eleuthero Root is held in high esteem in China where it has been valued for thousands of years, sometimes commanding a higher price than gold. Eleuthero Root is found in the Siberian province of Russia. Containing niacin, amino acids, carbohydrates and other vitamins and minerals, Eleuthero Root has been used to promote an overall sense of wellbeing.

After nearly a thousand studies, Herbalists call this herb an "adaptogen", which means that it helps the body adapt to any situation that normally would alter its function. The eleutherosides have been shown to be responsible for the adaptogenic properties of the plant. The eleutherosides are a range of glycosides with aromatic alcohol aglycones. The glycosides appear to act on the adrenal glands, helping to prevent adrenal hypertrophy and excess corticosteroid production in response to stress. The eleutherosides additionally help reduce the exhaustion phase of the stress response, and return the adrenals to normal function faster.

Eleuthero Root is reported to:

* Increase circulation
* Increase energy, vitality & stamina
* Help the body resist viral infections and environmental toxins
* Help prevent bronchial and other respiratory infections, as well as viral infections.
* Help restore memory, concentration, and cognitive abilities that have been impaired from poor blood supply to the brain.
* Additionally, Eleuthero Root is a popular herbal remedy for debility, depression, fatigue, and nervous breakdowns.

* Korean Ginseng: is a deciduous perennial shrub whose fleshy root requires 4-6 years of cultivation to reach maturity. Its name comes from the Chinese "jen shen," which means "man root," so-named because some roots have limb-like branches resembling arms and legs. Because the root has a human-like shape, it is considered by Orientals to be an overall body tonic.

Korean Ginseng is report to be used:

* To re-vitalize, strengthen, and rejuvenate the entire body
* As a natural preventive, restorative remedy and valued for its adaptogenic properties. Korean Ginseng is more stimulating and increases the "yang" energy, while increases the "yin" energy.
* As an anti-aging herb. Today, Ginseng is a favorable herb because of its ability to be used long-term without toxic effects on the body
* To lower cholesterol , balance the metabolism , increase energy levels, and stimulate the immune system . It has also been used to alleviate fatigue and reduce nervousness & stress on the body
* To increase oxygenation to the cells and tissues, promoting detoxification, and stimulating the regeneration of damaged cells
